QUESTION OF THE WEEK #14
This Week's Question:
What should the legal age of consent be? Which is to say, at what age do you believe a person can "consent" to sex?
FYI: In the United States, the legal age of consent ("AOC") varies from state to state. In California, for example, the AOC is 18, while it's 16 in Jersey. The AOC sometimes varies based on the gender of the "perpetrator" and the "victim;" in a few states, it's illegal to have male-male or female-female sex, at any age. The AOC is as low as 14 for males in Iowa and Missouri and 16 for females in numerous states. In other countries, the AOC varies from 12 to 18, assuming such a law exists.
